2. Traditional Manufacturing Process

Our women handbag is fully handmade under traditional manufacturing process including: choosing raw materials, drying in the sun, handling raw materials, splitting, exactly manufacturing process….

+ Step 1: Choosing Raw Materials

To have perfect product, firstly, the artisans must understand well the materials that they will make. Raw materials are carefully selected materials of different thickness, stiffness, color ... and cut to size of handbag by Vietnam artisans. For example, the best type of bamboo should be non-young, non-aged, straight and high hardness. For rattan, it must be of a sufficient size, about 5m long, straight, round, pest-free.

+ Step 2: Process Material

For bamboo material: We chop and dry it, then treat against termites. There are two common ways to fight termites. The first way is putting bamboo into the XM5 chemical soaking tank - an easy to use and very safe for users. The second way is soak it in manually process.

For rattan materials: Rattan has many sharp spines around, so the process of rattan should be very careful. Our artisans will peel its outer layer off, and then dry it slightly to move to the initial processing stage.

+ Step 3: Handling Raw Material

For bamboo materials: Our artisans will scrap and polish bamboo with sandpaper, then put it into the oven, use straw or bamboo leaves to smoke, which both has the effect of coloring and helps to combat warping. When the bamboo cools, it will be straightened.

For rattan materials: We dry rattan quite carefully, also to get color. when drying process, if it rains, the rattan will lose its beauty and if the sun is exposed, the rattan will lose its freshness.

+ Step 4: Splitting

To use rattan and bamboo, we have to split them. The size and length of the yarn will depend on the specific product.

+ Step 5: Exactly Manufacturing Process

After being processed, materials will be handwoven and shaped by our talented and skillful artisans to become beautiful and attractive products.

After knitting, the product can be dipped in glue, painted, glossy, trimmed to the most complete, and then preserved or packaged for transportation.
